POETS & FRIENDS (Springfield, Missouri)
MEMBERS: As of January 12, 2015, there were 11 members in Poets & Friends, the chapter that for ten years served as the state member of the National Federation of Poetry Societies and in November of 1998 founded the Missouri State Poetry Society.

MEETING DATES, TIME, AND PLACE: Poets & Friends meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month, unless otherwise noted, at the Brentwood Public Library (2214 S. Brentwood) or the Library Station (2535 N Kansas Expressway) in Springfield.

OFFICERS: Current officers are President M J Becco, Vice-President Jennifer DiCamillo, Secretary Marilyn Smith, Treasurer Don DePriest, and Museletter Editor Seth White.

PROGRAMS: Each month the society holds a brief business session before the main activity of the evening: read-arounds of poetry by the members. A special Poetry in the Park Day, to celebrate National Poetry Month, to which the public is invited and a Winter Celebration are the high points of the year.
