Crescendo

Perhaps, passions in life
ebb and flow with the tide,
gentle whispers first,
eroding sedentary beachfronts
one grain at a time.

On rare occasions, waves
cresecendo to such heights
one is engulfed, swept up
and out to the deep,  feet
upended, riding high,
beyond reason,
to upexpected destinations.

Eventually, though,
that glorious wall of water
equillibrium, the crescendo
abaiting,
abaiting,
until feet
plant firmly again.
